So today I had an assignment in my Spanish Class.
I had to go through some poems written by a Mexican writer named Amado Nervo.
I LOVE THIS GUY!!!
He was supper creative in all of his poems.
The point is that I read this one poem that can totally relate to anyone who feels alone. So I wanted to posted here since I bet almost no one remembers this poem anymore.
The poem is in Spanish so I got a translation that does not change the meaning that much.
Fill It with Love by Amado Nervo
Whenever there's an emptiness in your life
Fill it with love
Whether you are young or old
Whenever there's an emptiness in your life
Fill it with love
As soon as you know that you'll have some free time
Use it to look for love
Do not think: I'll suffer
Do not think: I'll be deceived
Do not think: I'll doubt it
Just go, simply, clearly, joyfully
and look for love
What is the nature of love?
It does not matter.
All love is full of excellence and nobility.
Love as you can, love whom you can, love everything that you can...
but always love.
Do not worry about the purpose of your love.
Its purpose is within itself.
Do not judge yourself incomplete just because they do not respond to your tenderness:
Love is its own completeness.
Whenever there's an emptiness in your life
Fill it with love
No pienses: "Sufriré".
No pienses: "Me engañarán".
No pienses: "Dudaré".
Ve, simplemente, diáfanamente, regocijadamente,
en busca del amor.
¿Qué índole de amor?
No importa.
